The Dublin Page

Summer friends snorting up smiles
Cuddling with girls too classy in heels
How laughable that a sip of alcohol will make
Even the up tightest of gals
Spread the ever so loose eagle

I'll let the day's events seep into my brain
Become neighbors with the fuzzy re-memories
Of a girl named Quiteline
Their streets may be miles away
And one house has a better paint job
But they both mean just the same
I think...

And there she is
I believe I'll say "good evening old lady friend"

Baby, baby
Pop your pills
Let it dissolve into your insides
I will sit waiting for it to kick in
So you can be attracted to me again
Just like it used to be
When you would call me "dear"
And make love to me rotten while high on the world (shhh about the other things)
It was a rarity
Though I hear you're in a constant daze
Of smoke and hip grinding with the new blood
How fucking thoughtful.
